പതിനാറ് നഖക്കാരന്‍ എന്നതാണ് രാജന്റെ മറ്റൊരു സവിശേഷത. പൊതുവേ അശുഭലക്ഷണമെന്നും വീട്ടില്‍ കയറ്റാന്‍ കൊള്ളാത്തവര്‍ എന്നുമൊക്കെ മുന്‍കാലങ്ങളില്‍ കരുതപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന പതിനാറ് നഖക്കാരെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ തരക്കേടില്ലെന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തിലാവാം ഇവന്‍ മലയാലപ്പുഴ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ എത്തിപ്പെടുന്നത്.

ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ നാട്ടാനക്കേമന്മാരില്‍ എണ്ണം പറഞ്ഞ വീരന്‍ പാമ്പാടി രാജനുമായുള്ള അസാമന്യ രൂപസാദൃശ്യവും മലയാലപ്പുഴ ആനയുടെ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്. പാമ്പാടി രാജന്റെയത്ര ഉയരവും ദേഹപുഷ്ടിയും വരില്ലെങ്കിലും എണ്ണക്കറുപ്പും മുഖത്തെ സ്ഥായിയായ പരുഷഭാവവും ഈ രാജന്റെയും വ്യക്തിമുദ്രകളായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. മലയാലപ്പുഴ രാജന്റെ മുഖൂത്തേക്ക് ഇത്തിരി നേരം അടുപ്പിച്ച് ഒന്ന് നോക്കിനിന്നു പോയാല്‍ സ്വയമറിയാതെന്നോണം ആരും രണ്ട് ചുവട് പിന്നോട്ട് മാറിപ്പോകുന്ന ഒരു വജ്രായുധ ഭാവവും ഇവന്റെ മുഖത്തുണ്ട്. മറ്റൊരാനയിലും ഇന്നേവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത വിധം, പുറത്തേക്ക് അല്‍പം തള്ളി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന കണ്ണുകളും, ആള്‍ക്കൂട്ടത്തെ നോക്കി പേടിപ്പിക്കും മട്ടിലുള്ള ആ കണ്ണുകളുടെ ചുടലമായ ചലനങ്ങളും രാജന്റെ ഗാംഭീര്യം പതിന്‍മടങ്ങ് ഉയര്‍ത്തുവാന്‍ പോന്നതു തന്നെ!

Kumbazha Estate Rubber Factory

In the early 1900's rubber was first planted on a commercial scale in India. As a major corporate in agriculture, Harrisons Malayalam took on the yet again pioneering work for yet another crop - having opened new areas for tea in the previous century.

Today the company has a total planted area of about 6000 ha. This is spread over 10 estates. 

The Company produces 8.5 million kilograms from its own area and processes another 1.5 million kilograms bought from neighboring holdings.

Rubber though tapped as latex, is processed into various rubber products - a stabilized concentrated form of latex, smoked sheets, crepes and crumb/block rubber in a wide variety of grades.

The centuries-old Thombil Palace, believed to be the original abode of the presiding deity of the Bhagavathy temple at Malayalappuzha near here, will soon get a facelift. The Thombil Palace Protection Samiti (TPPS) has launched a project with people's support to rebuild the palace and preserve the adjoining sacred grove (‘kavu').

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, TPPS leaders V.S. Harishchandran, K.K. Haridas, and P.R. Udayakumar said the project was being taken up on the basis of an astrological consultation (Devaprasnom) conducted at the temple. They said the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) had failed in following the recommendations of the astrological consultation.

Mr. Harishchandran said the Samiti had purchased the 30 cents of land that housed the palace and the sacred grove at Malayalappuzha. It has started the atonement rituals recommended by astrologers and reinstalled the presiding deity at the ‘kavu.'

Mr. Harischandran said the palace would be reconstructed in wood and granite at an estimated cost of Rs.45 lakh. Noted Vasthu expert Kanippayyur Krishnan Namboodiripad had prepared the new design for the palace, strictly adhering to the principles of the traditional temple architecture of Kerala, he said.

The TPPS has also made arrangements to perform various atonement rituals at the Thombil Palace from May 16 to 20. Mr Harishchandran said the temple Tantri (chief priest), Sukumara Bhattathiri of Adimattathu Madhom, will lead the rituals.

A devotees' meet that followed was inaugurated by cine actor Kaviyoor Ponnamma. Samiti president Haridas Padippurackal presided over the function.

Navajeevan Kendram Malayalapuzha

Navajeeva Kendram is a rehabilitation and treatment center for alcoholics and drug addicts. 

registered under Krupa Samithy Charitable Trust (P-761/98) and has a capacity of 15 families.

The location of the center is very vital for the treatment. It is situated on the top of a mountain. It is very calm and peaceful. This helps the patients to ease out from their withdrawal symptoms and relax. It also helps them to evaluate their past and reconstitute a new life style.

Navajeeva Kendram is a treatment and rehabilitation center started on 1989 as a joint project of Ranny- Nilackal Diocese of Marthoma Syrian Church & M.T.E.A. This had got the good will gained by the service of Oklahoma Medical Center a project of M.T.E.A functioned before in the same building. തിരുവിതാംകൂര്‍ ദേവസ്വം ബോര്‍ഡിനു കീഴിലുള്ള പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ മലയാലപ്പുഴ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ആനയാണ് മലയാലപ്പുഴ രാജന്‍.മദ്ധ്യ തിരുവിതാംകൂറിലെ ഉത്സവപ്പറമ്പുകളിലെ തലപ്പൊക്കത്തിന്‍റെ ചക്രവര്‍ത്തി എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. എഴുന്നള്ളത്ത് തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ മുതല്‍ തിടമ്പ് ഇറക്കുന്നതുവരെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസം തുളുമ്പുന്ന പ്രൌഢ ഗംഭീരമായിതന്നെ എഴുന്നള്ളി നില്‍ക്കുന്നു എന്നാണ് രാജനെ മറ്റുള്ള ആനകളില്‍ നിന്നും വേറിട്ടു നിര്‍ത്തുന്നത്.ജനനവും ബാല്യവും
കേരളത്തിലാണ് ജനനം. മലയാലപ്പുഴ ഭഗവതീക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ആദ്യമായി നടയ്ക്കിരുത്തുന്ന ആന മലയാലപ്പുഴ രാജനാണ്. ഇന്ന് (2012) ഈ ആനയ്ക്ക് നാല്പതില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ പ്രായം ഉണ്ട്.പ്രത്യേകതകള്‍
നല്ലപൊക്കം, ഏത് എഴുന്നള്ളത്തിലും മിതത്വമുള്ള നില്‍പ്, നല്ല വിരിവുള്ള മുഖവും മുഖശ്രീയും ഉള്ള ചന്തം, എടുത്തകന്ന കൊമ്പുകള്‍, നിലം തൊടുന്ന തുമ്പി, ഒത്തശരീരം ഇതൊക്കെയാണ് മലയാലപ്പുഴ രാജന്റെ പ്രത്യേകതകള്‍. ഒമ്പതരയടിയില്‍ കുറയാത്ത ഉയരമുള്ള രാജന്റെ പതിനാറ് നഖങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ വ്യക്തമായി കാണാം.ഈ ആനയുടെ മറ്റൊ സവിശേഷത എണ്ണക്കറുപ്പും മുഖത്തെ സ്ഥായിയായ പരുഷഭാവവും ആണ്.ശബരിമല ക്ഷേത്രം
ശബരിമല ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍അയ്യപ്പന്റേയുംമാളികപ്പുറത്തമ്മയുടെയും തിടമ്പേറ്റാന്‍ ഭാഗ്യം ലഭിച്ച ചുരുക്കം ചില ആനകളില്‍ ഒന്നാണ് മലയാലപ്പുഴ രാജന്‍.

മലയാലപ്പുഴ

പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ കോഴഞ്ചേരി താലൂക്കില്‍ കോന്നി ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് മലയാലപ്പുഴ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. മലയാലപ്പുഴ, കോന്നിതാഴം, പത്തനംതിട്ട,വടശ്ശേരിക്കര എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകളിലായി വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന മലയാലപ്പുഴ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിന് 27.53 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വിസ്തൃതിയുണ്ട്. 14 വാര്‍ഡുകളാണ് ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിലുള്ളത്. കൊല്ലവര്‍ഷം 1123 (1948-ല്‍) കര്‍ക്കിടക്കം 23-ന്മലയാലപ്പുഴ വില്ലേജുയൂണിയന്‍ രൂപീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. താനുവേലില്‍ ഗോവിന്ദക്കുറുപ്പായിരുന്നു പ്രസിഡന്റ്. 1953-ല്‍ ആദ്യത്തെ പഞ്ചായത്തുതെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ്നടന്നു. ആനചാരിക്കല്‍ കെ.എസ്.കേശവനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യപ്രസിഡന്റ്. മനോഹാരിതവഴിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന പ്രദേശമാണ് മലയാലപ്പുഴ. മഹാശിലയുഗമെന്ന് ചരിത്രകാരന്മാര്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള 3000 വര്‍ഷത്തോളം പഴക്കം വരുന്ന പ്രാചീനസംസ്ക്കാരം ഇവിടെ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നുവെന്നതിന് തെളിവുകള്‍ കണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇരുവശത്തും പുഴകളുള്ളതും മലകള്‍ നിറഞ്ഞതുമായ പ്രദേശം എന്നഅര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലാകാം മലയാലപ്പുഴ എന്ന സ്ഥലനാമമുണ്ടായത്.

MALAYALAPUZHA DEVI TEMPLE

Malayalapuzha is a temple town just outside Pathanamthitta City Suburbs, located in Kerala state, India.
It is 7 km away from Pathanamthitta Central Jn. and 5 km from Kumbazha Jn.

The village is famous for the ancient Durga Devi Temple.
Hundreds of devotees across Kerala visits the Temple Daily.
Both KSRTC and private Buses operate to this Temple Town from Pathanamthitta.Jeep service is another mode of transportation.
The History behind this temple is very interesting.This temple was originally situated in a small village called Edathitta ,in Pathanamthitta Dist.This was a full fledged village , ruled by Raja Shaktibhadran, the only Sanskrit south Indian writer.One day a tantrik from Malayalapuzha visited this place ,as he heard a lot about this temple.Malayalpuzha was in drought for many years.So the TANTRIK with his power ,migrated the shakti's of the devi to malayalapuzha.And the place progressed like anything.As the shakti's were taken away from edathitta, the place faced many destructions.And gradually there were no signs of the temple.Then according to the prashnakundali people found out as in when it was migrated and when will it come back,as the power cannot be transferred completely ,it mentioned that it will take 3000 yrs for this shakti to come back.And in 1992,somebody from that village saw a dream that the vigraham,and the pooja utensils were beneath the ground,and people started digging that place , where they found everything mentioned by the person.And the villagers then contributed towards temple.And it is very famous now.
